Charlie & Dad
July 10
Charlie has been walking for a while, but he always needed a goal (mom, dad, couch, chair, etc.) that wasn't too far away. This weekend he decided to take off and explore. It is funny to see him walk into the next room just because he wants to. This morning he was brushing his teeth (well, chewing on the toothbrush to be more accurate) and decided to stand up and wander down the hall to check on Jason. I think I will be doing a lot of baby-proofing this week. Way to go, little man.

As Chris told me yesterday, "Good luck with your free range child." Indeed.

One piece of advice: use plastic cups or keep glassware completely out of reach. Ella started walking at the same time I started getting morning sickness with Jonas. Because I was getting sick pretty often, I spent a lot of time in the bathroom and couldn't hover over her. One morning she decided to try to drink out of a pint glass that was full of water. Let's just say cleaning up shattered glass while vomiting is a memory I will not soon forget.
